Bunches of Os

I need your vote!! Sunshine is having a celebrity look-alike contest. I want to win. You can vote HERE. I will admit, that picture of me is about 4 years old. I, of course am karen aka Mare Winningham. I used the celebrity generator. That's who they paired me to. You dont have to lie and vote for me if you dont think I should win. Thats okay. Ive had my heart broken before. Its okay. You can all laugh that I lost while you are in Tombstone because you know I cant go with you there. And Ill just sit here with my frail body and my ailing husband and it wont bother me at all. Really. Go ahead vote for someone else (W-a-a-a-a-a-a) Ill be okay.

Next, Yesterdays post showing Obama? One bit of information I left off was that his teleprompter wasnt working. He usually makes himself cards that he puts on the podium before he starts speaking but during that one, they had him use the teleprompter which didnt kick in for the part that it shows. I purposely didnt mention it to see if anyone would take stabs at him about it. But you were all pretty good, Ill admit.

I received this in my inbox today. I had heard a couple of the questions a long time ago, but not all of them. I admit that I only got 4 right because I did know numbers 1, 3, and 10 and guessed right on number 10. Dont cheat. Tell me how many you got in my comments.

My baby daughter went in for an MRI of her back today. They took two. It was a total of two and a half hours of lying absolutely still on her back in agony. Even her pills didnt help. Adding to her misery, she has been having pains in her upper stomach the past few weeks. Severe pain. She said she thought they were hunger pains because if she ate something it would ease up but she also said it was worse if she ate salad. I told her it sounded like an ulcer and to make an appointment.

Poor kid. Well at 34 she isnt really a kid anymore, but she will always be my baby.

And last but not least, my son has developed a medical issue too. It isnt life threatening and if I wrote what it was he would kill me, but suffice it to say, it is becoming a pain in the but. (Pun intended). At least it seems to have cleared up this time but he promised me that if it happens again he will see a doctor.

Staying with health news, you remember my ex-coworker (and friend) Char? She was diagnosed a week ago with breast cancer. I have been sick for her. Tuesday they did a lumpectomy and are very confident they got all of it. It has to go to the pathologist, but thats a formality. It was the size of the erasure part of a pencil and they took a piece the size of an egg. She is feeling well today and I am so happy I beside myself. Since I have had my breasts removed in 2002, I have had 4 people tell me they have a lump in their breast that turned out to be cancer. Of those, all are today, cancer free. The others opted for lumpectomy, I opted for prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. It still isnt over. Many women are still dealing with this horrible, horrible disease. Many people are still dying from many forms cancers. Two people that are dealing with cancer right now are Gunner Gillespie and Trever Tredaway They are two very brave little boys. I learned about them from one of my buddies, Michael Manning who spends a lot of time with these little guys and helps raise money for the insurmountable costs their families face. They love to have people sign their guest books so if you have a few moments drop in to their sites on Caring Bridge. If you have a few loose coins you can afford to part with, by all means they will accept them gratefully.

You all have a great week end!

Later,
Cosmic
