Lori and the girls came up after dinner and we had ice cream cake. Terry was surprised. I bought him a new webcam. We had them back years ago, but they were really cheap and horrible back then. I bought him a decent HP.
After the cake, Brittni brought out an oversized greeting card. It is about 10 x 14. On the front is a chicken with an accordion. You see where this is going? I did immediately.
As he was taking it out of the envelope, all three girls stood up side-by-side and as he opened the card, the Chicken Song started and they started dancing. We cracked up. It is sort of a private joke.
When Terry and I got married, in 1997, we hired a DJ. The guy was amazingly funny. He brought props. As an example, he had all the hats of the village people for people to wear as they danced to The YMCA and other things for silliness. He asked for a volunteer and my son jumped right up. My son. Add alcohol, unleash the ham. Now remember, Jeff is 6 foot and all arms and legs and skinny as a rail.
The DJ handed him a chicken head mask and the music started. True to form, Jeff started the chicken dance and before long, everyone was right up on their feet and joining the line.
In case you are one of the few that never saw it, I give you the chicken dance.
Well the funny part about the girls doing the chicken dance is that Brittni remembered it and taught the little ones. Even Lori didnt know they were going to do it. It surprised us all. They were adorable.
Terry got phone calls and cards from his daughter in England, his son in California, presents here a dance, and an Ice cream cake. He told me after they left that it was one of his best birthdays yet. Happy 70th Sweetheart. I love you.
Damn, that song will be in my head for the next two days.
I got this today. I havent tried it yet. If anyone else has, let me know.
ZIPLOC OMELET
(This works great !!! Good for when all your family is together. The best part is that no one has to wait for their special omelet !!!)
Have guests write their name on a quart-size Ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.
Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.
Put out a variety of ingredients such as: cheeses, ham, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, salsa, etc.
Each guest adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.
Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes [we did 15 minutes]. You can usually cook 6-8 omelets in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water.
Open the bags and the omelet will roll out easily. Be prepared for everyone to be amazed.
Nice to serve with fresh fruit and coffee cake; everyone gets involved in the process an d a great conversation piece..
One more video. If you dont giggle, your gigglers broke.
A little known fact. The first testicular guard cup was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. It took 100 years for men to realize that the brain is also important.
