Snow finally hits Conn.

MILFORD, Conn. (AP) � This winter has brought record- high temperatures and only scattered flurries across southern New England, but snow finally hit this shoreline town on Saturday.
It didn�t come from the sky.
Mary and Jim Walker, of Loveland, Colo., presented about 30 snowballs to the Hansen family of Milford on the city green, after family patriarch Chris Hansen bought them from the Walkers on eBay for $200.
�Here�s your snow!� Mary Walker said as she opened a large cooler packed with snowballs.
Hansen, 43, his wife Rose, 37, and their three daugh�ters � Jackie, 16, Rebecca, 12, and Sarah, 15 � then proceeded to pelt each other with the snow, which was slightly frozen.
Chris Hansen said he searched eBay for snow on a whim, after his daughters asked him to.
� The girls were like, � Daddy, there�s just no snow,�� said Chris Hansen, a Norwalk firefighter. � I thought I could get that on eBay.�
Hansen said he originally bid $9 for three snowballs, but was eventually outbid. He finally won the snow�balls for $138. He said he paid Walker $ 200 so she could use the extra money to buy a snow blower for her home in Colorado, which has been bombarded by snow in the past month.
Mary Walker said she got the idea to sell the snow on eBay after growing frustrat�ed with shoveling.
�I said, �Let�s just sell the snow on eBay,�� she said.
Denver- based Frontier Airlines donated two seats on a flight to LaGuardia Airport in New York for the Walkers to expedite the delivery of the snow, after Mary Walker worried it might not survive shipping. Like they say, �You can get �IT� on Eb@y! We are enjoying a Monk-a-thon today. That, and sitting around in my jammies. I�m going to do it again tomorrow too. I have the holiday off. Thanks for all the well wishes. I think I�m finally good. Just in case there is any bacteria left in my body, I�m going to have a couple of Captain and Cokes. The alcohol is totally medicinal, you understand.
