More on the Blizzard No pictures yet. Too windy to go out. We have an estimated 23 inches on the ground with a possible 8 to 12 more today before it ends. Our local TV station just had a special broadcast. We are now in a State of Emergency. Governor Donald L. Carcieri has asked schools to close tomorrow and municipal offices and government buildings are ordered closed. There isn't a driving ban but everyone is asked to stay off the roads tomorrow. Being the model citizen that I am, I have no choice but to stay home. Aww, gee. That breaks my heart. Ok, to give you an idea how it is right now, I pushed open my front door. And I do mean PUSHED. I keep opening it up far enough to squeeze through so I will be able to get out later to shovel. No point doing it yet. With gusts up to 70mph and sustained winds of 35mph, it's useless. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I know you are all probably getting sick of my weather reporting, but it's the most excitment we have had here in a while and it makes me all giddy. I was asked if there is any danger here from flooding. Where we live, I have never had so much as a wet basement. I hope that holds true. Lucky too is the fact that with all this snow, it is light and powery so we haven suffered any power outages "yet". I hope not. Terry won't be able to get upstairs because the elevator won't work. You all have a great Sunday and if you are in the Northeast, Stay In!!!
Later, Cosmic
