Babble-babble The Boss Lady may be back today. Well, it was nice whil it lasted. Well, it wasn't really nice. I did have my share of strangeness to deal with. Last week, after doing a system restore on the D*ll at work, I tried ot open an e-mail I sent to the office to show the girls. Lo & behold, we had no speakers. I tried and tried, but the computer said we didn't have any. I finally broke down and called tech support. I was told that when I did the restore, I had not deleted the original OS, but had only partidioned ot off. Well, silly me. D*ll doesn not make doing a restore easy. This time, I got smart and saved the address book and all the favorites, so I saved a bunch of time there. What I still had to do was reinstall the DSL and all the programs. It took awhile. All is well once more. At least for now. I may finally get to wear the new boots. Oh happy day. this is what they are saying now on the weather channel ... WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT TO THURSDAY EVENING...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TAUNTON MA HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH. THIS WINTER STORM WATCH INCLUDES NORTHEAST CONNECTICUT... ALL OF RHODE ISLAND... AND CENTRAL AND EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS. THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 6 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOWFALL BY THE TIME THE SNOW ENDS THURSDAY EVENING.
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT... AND WILL PROBABLY START AS RAIN FROM THE INTERSTATE 95 CORRIDOR TO CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS. BY DAYBREAK THURSDAY... IT SHOULD BE SNOWING EVERYWHERE EXCEPT ON CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS... WHERE A CHANGE TO SNOW SHOULD TAKE PLACE BY EARLY THURSDAY AFTERNOON.
SNOW MAY BE HEAVY AT TIMES THURSDAY. IN ADDITION... GUSTY WINDS MAY CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH POOR VISIBILITY... ESPECIALLY NEAR THE COAST. Oh happy day. (NOT!)In other news, I read on my Strange but true news the other day where a 25 year old man was arrested after using UPS to send at least 4 packages from Albuquerque, N.M. over a 10 day period. The packages contained around 4 pounds of marijuana each. Wow, all I ever get is toasters and coffee makers. According to the report, he sent them out as Birthday presents. UPS, your United Pot Suppliers. Terry said this isn't even strange news. He said before we met, when he lived Maine, his neighbor used to get his delivered from Florida once every week. In more sobering news, which is why I saved it for last, my middle 8-year old grandbaby, Deja went for another MRI yesterday. The medication they have her on isn't cutting it as far as the headaches go. The narcolepsy seems to have abated quite a bit, but she has a headache daily. Lori puts her on the bus in the morning and on any given day, she will be called to go and give her Ibuprophen during the school day. The staff isn't allowed to administer it and she isn't allowed to take it to school and take it on her own. Though I hate that the system is set up like this, I can and do respect it. But there has to be another solution. IF enyone has one, I'm all ears. Untill more tests have been done and the seeminlgy endless neurological visits have been completed, this is how it stands. Well, it's time to shove off to work soon, so I'll catch you all again this evening.
Later, Cosmic
