TV, and Movies and DVDs, oh MY! I have a need to do an entry tonight, if nothing more than to get that picture off my page and off my computer. So as soon as I post this, he will no longer be assaulting my computer or my stomach. For all of you in Virginia and Washinton DC. I am glad this ordeal is over for you. I know of three of you that are. I have thought of you and spoken of you often offline since this started. Again, I'm glad it's over. ****************************** Well, on a totally different (thank you very much, Karen) note, I went to Bingo last night. Rule Number one of surgery post-op. When stitched from under one arm to under the other, refrain from 3 hours of constant back and forth motion of left (or right too, I would presume) arm, especially right after a shower. Why, one might ask? Cause it hurts like a bitch for the rest of the night!! Sore? Oh yah! Much better today. Don't need pain pills. My little coffee brandy sombreros work quite nicely, thank you very much. Can't wit til Tuesday and dreading it at the same time. ****************************** Speaking of adult movies, (Wasn't someone?) Back in the mid 70's before the days of computers and before the days when this single mother of 2 could afford a Video player I saw a movie on HBO (ok, I couldn't really afford that either but got it anyway. Wanna make something of it?) Well anyway, it was by todays standards, rated "R". It was called, "Sex on the Groove Tube". It was a parody of Dragnet about a search for a female serial killer. She didn't use a gun, or a knife. Nope. Much more original that that. She was a vampire, but I guess necks weren't her area of expertise. It was a riot! Funniest adult movie I have ever seen. If you aren't offended by a little sex and you liked any of the "Airport" movies or sequals, you'd love it. Well, I have checked around every few years at video stores and haven't been able to find any copies. I was beginning to think I dreamed it all. Well lo and behold the age of the computer! I found it today!! Someone, I think it was unclebob that said something in his entry today that made me think of it. Guess where I found it? Well, I found it a few places for $19.95 plus S&H but I paid only $14.00 on......... E-BAY!!! I only hope that since it has been almost 30 years since I have seen it, that it is as funny as I remember. ****************************** I am becoming an e-bay slut! I think it's the winning of the bid that excites me. I love it. I spend less on e-bay than I would at the casino or bingo and I have something to show for it. Cool Deal all the way around. My closets are filling up with all sorts of stuff to put on there to sell. I am just waiting to be able to drive again so I can take it to the Post Office when it does. Still not driving yet. No biggie. ***************************** We spent today watching movies curled up on the couch. We watched Harry Potter on our new (ok, new used) DVD Player and the the new and improved E.T. I could not believe that Terry had never seen it. I think he was the only person left on the planet who hadn't. It is still one of my favorite movies. The added scenes that had been cut from the original were really good. I loved that Terry actually got a little misty when he thought E.T. died. I love knowing my hubby has a sensitive side. Even when it comes to aliens. As far as Harry Potter goes, I was well prepared to be disappointed because of all the hype given this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised. The movie was great! The kids were all very talented and I can't wait to see the next one. ****************************** Well, time to hit the couch again. It's almost time for Providence. Forget couch potato, I am becoming couch moss! At least a potato rolls around a bit. Oh well. I am going to make the most of it.
