Sputter, sputter.

This is sort of a good news-badnews morning. Bad news is that once again it is raining. This makes about 6 of the past 8 days. The good news, on the other hand, is that it is 50 degrees and I don't have to scrape the car windows. I love it when nature reaches a balance.

I went to bingo last night. I hit a 50/50 game that paid $69.00. Unfortunately, so did two other people. Gross win? $23.00. Net for the evening? -$17.00. We are FINALLY going to Foxwood.s tomorrow. Maybe I can strike it rich with my $50.00. Ok Dorothy, back to Kansas.

Thanksgiving plans are all set now. Sister, clangski and her hubby, the Bobster are coming over Wednesday night to play trivial pursuit. She is bringing her ham and baking it while we play. Brother Pete is bringing the Turkey on Monday, so Thursday morning I will have ole Tom in the oven by 10:00. Hubby is making his famous turnip/carrot mix while I make the stuffed celery. We are all contributing a pie. I will also be making my boiled onions in white sauce and Clangski will also be making her twice baked cheese potatoes. We will round it out with rolls, peas, cranberry sauce (jellied for clangski and whole berry for me). Oh, and I will be making the gravy. (well "someone" will make it, I will pour it out of the jar and heat it though.) Lori and the three grandbabies may be here. She is still undecided. They always has a ton of invitations.

There are certain things that are a must on my Thanksgiving table. Since Terry is from England, he never celebrated it growing up, but he loves it. He makes his turnip/carrot combo. I couldn't believe it the first time he made it. I love turnip and I love carrots, but for anyone that isn't crazy about the bitterness of the turnip, this is a must. You use about 2 parts carrots to the one part turnip and it's delicious. This isn't just me talking. He has made believers out of many turnip hating peeps.

The next "must have" is the onions. If there are no boiled onions in white sauce, it isn't Thanksgiving. I use real butter to make the rouix. I could live on these things!

I also have to have my stuffed celery. I used to love it when my mom made this. All it is, is cream cheese and green salad olives with the pimentoes all mixed together and stuffed into the celery. I love it. It's nice to munch on while waiting for dinner.

Well, that completes our dinner. Hopefully Lori and the girls will be here too and I can get some recent pictures of them to post. They are growing up so fast!

I go back to Dr.-make-me-look-beautiful on Monday. I am sure this will be the last time. Thank God. I really don't need to even go this time, but he has to finish his little medical file, I guess.

I bought a bottle of vitamin E. I heard that is makes scars fade away quicker. I know there is another product that is specifally made for this purpose, but somehow I can't see putting out $40.00 for it. I'll try the vitamin E. That was only 2 bucks. I am going to call the rehab supply place on Monday for an appointment. I am getting me a set of boobs just in case the need arises. I figured I may as well get them. I am entitled to one set a year at just the 20% co-pay. I don't plan on wearing them except if I should want to buy a sleezy new dress that insists on boobs to make it look good. A girls gotta have a little boob on some occasions I guess.

******************************

Well this is enough babbling for one morning. Hopefully, this weekend I will get the other three lessons done on my Web Design course. I have put that on the back burner this past month to write my novel. I have to get back to it before I forget everything I've learned so far. In case I don't get a post in this week-end, you all have a great one!

Later...

Later,
Cosmic
