S'no fun! S'no fun at all!! My emotions are all a tither tonight. I am frustrated because once again, Mother Nature decided to sneak a late winter snow on us. The last time I looked out the door, I would guess there was already 5 inches of the 2 3 they forecast. Mother Nature can kiss my rosey red butt! Getting out tomorrow is going to be a pain. At least I have the new snow thrower. With any luck, brother Pete will come by and I can bullshit Remind him how much fun he had using it last time. I am happy because hubby insisted on buying me a present tonight. I had a picture of it here but did a major picture deletion on May 13, 06 so sorry, no pic. Hard Drive: The large 200 GB Ultra DMA hard drive (7200 RPM) offers a wealth of storage space, perfect for storing a vast multimedia collection or for editing digital video.
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 519 processor (3.06 GHz). It also features a decently fast 533 MHz front-side bus speed, which measures how fast a processor and the main memory communicate, and a 1 MB L2 cache. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance.) Memory: The 1 GB of installed RAM (PC2-3200, 2 x 512 MB) is very good for basic multimedia such as managing digital photos and audio, but you'll want to take advantage of the ultra- roomy 4 GB of total RAM capacity (4 x 1 GB) for such multimedia needs as video editing and immersive 3D gaming. CD/DVD Drive: Offering the latest in DVD writing technology, This PC's multiformat DVD/CD drive is compatible with both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer (DL) DVD+/-R discs, which can store up to 8.5 GB of data. It features 4x DVD-R DL Write Once, 2.4x DVD+R DL Write Once, 16x DVD+R, 4x DVD+RW, 8x DVD-R, 4x DVD-RW, 16x DVD-ROM, 40x CD-R, 24x CD-RW, and 40x CD-ROM speeds. It also comes with a second DVD-ROM optical drive, with 16x read speed. This LightScribe DVD+/-RW drive lets you laser-etch silkscreen quality text and images on to CDs and DVDs . Your software, PC and discs work together for a no-hassle way to burn just the labels you want. After you burn content, just flip the disc over, reinsert and burn your label--anything from a simple title to a full-disc work of art. It also has a keyboard and mouse and speakers. I opted out of the new monitor because I love the one I have. This man is just too good to me. Joke time: A tour bus driver is driving with a bus load of seniors down a highway when he is tapped on his shoulder by a little old lady. She offers him a handful of peanuts, which he gratefully munches up. After about 15 minutes, she taps him on his shoulder again and she hands him another handful of peanuts. She repeats this gesture about five more times. When she is about to hand him another batch again he asks the little old lady, "Why don't you eat the peanuts yourself?" "We can't chew them because we've no teeth," she replies. The puzzled driver asks, "Why do you buy them then?" The old lady replies, "We just love the chocolate around them." Oh my, chaosdaily I can see you 30 years from now! Hahaha! |
