Happy Dance! Happy Dance! Its official! I have a good heart. It is documented for all time. The tests came back. Aside from the angioplasty that was done in 1994 to reduce a blockage from 95% down to 10 that has never changed, there is absolutely nothing wrong with my heart! Thank God. And thank you all for hanging in there with me. Bottom line is that the fluid buildup in my body put fluid on my lungs and also caused the cough. I have some fluid still being horded, so I asked if it might be okay to take another pill late afternoon. My doctor said to go for it. I am only taking 20mg now, so a total of 40mg wont be a lot. I have hopes that in the fall, with the passing of the warm weather, I may be able to get off them again. Im not even going to worry about that at this point. I am okay. Thats all that matters. And if I take care of myself, I will be okay for many more moons. We had another mini crisis on Saturday night. Remember baby (6 year old granddaughter) Miya? Remember the broken (in two places) arm/wrist? Well, that is on the mend so of course, she just had to do something. She decided to take her cup-O-soup out of the microwave because big sister Brittni was in the bathroom. Lori was at work. Well, that in itself was no big deal until she tripped going to the table with it. Graphic picture below: * * * * * Second degree burn. It measures about 4 inches by 3 inches. Brittni called Lori who had just gotten into her car to drive home. She only works about 5 minutes from the house. She walked in, and there sat Miya. Not a tear in her eye. Brit had taken her blouse off immediately and she was just sitting at the table. Lori almost had a heart attack. This picture is after three days. Withint the 5 minutes it took her to race home, three huge blisters had appeared. Lori asked her if she was okay and all she said was, Well, mom, I didnt cry, but I did have to scream. Then it was okay. No tears. Believe that? Scary kid. Tough kid.The doctor said it will heal fine because Brittni took the shirt off so quick and it took the heat off with it. All will be fine and because of her skin tone, she probably wont even scar. I cooked roast beef tonight with potatoes. One hour in a 350 degree oven and it is 81 degrees outside. How stupid am I? I am so stupid that I had three bananas left that were borderline bad, so in my infinite wisdom, I decided to make a banana bread. That one hour at 350? Just turned into two. Of course my decision to make the bread came at the end of cooking the roast beef. Maybe they should have tested my brain instead of my heart. I may have a good heart, but sometimes I think Im a sandwich shy of a picnic. Have a good one!
Later, Cosmic
