What the &%$@!!!! File this under, "You�re gonna love this one!"
I won a jackpot months ago in Pogo Slots. Instead of taking me to the confirmation page, it sent me instead, back to the game. I was positive I had won! Well, I decided my mind was confused and did nothing about it.
Tonight, I clicked on the instant win Dove sweepstakes and a screen came up that said I was ineligible to participate in the contest. This really ticked me off, so I sent the following email off to them. This is the message: I just tried to enter the instant winner Dove sweepstakes and received a message that I cannot participate because I live in Rhode Island. Does this mean I am ineligible to win any jackpots on Pogo also? Can you tell me why RI is not eligible and which other states are also not? I don't ever remember reading this in the terms of service agreement when I joined. Thank you,

Players residing outside the U.S. and Canada: We're very sorry, but at this point, it does not appear likely that Pogo will ever be able to directly offer prizes to those who do not reside in the US or Canada. This is primarily due to various processes, requirements, restrictions, and procedures required by US (or other countries') tax laws or regulations that we are not able to be in compliance with at this time. For more specific information regarding Pogo prizes, please check the official Prize Rules page. Just click on the 'Prizes' button at the top of any Pogo page, then click on the 'Prize Help and Rules' tab (if you're a Club Pogo member) or the 'Rules' menu option (if you're not a Club Pogo member). Excuse me, but the last time I checked, Rhode Island IS a United State. We are small, but if you look at a map, you will see us between Massachusetts and Connecticut. Please advise. If Rhode Island has ceded from the United states of America, please let me know so I can stop paying Federal Income tax.
