yesderday, when I was young..... I just had a unique thought. Don't laugh, occasionally I do. My thought: What do this years elections and PAX TV have in common? More entertainment and less "Gore" ta-dum! After yesterday's post, I received a comment from sunnflower agreeing with my sentiments on cancelled television and refering to her entry of the day. And yes, sunnflower, brilliant minds DO think alike. She carried it further than I did with just the TV shows, so I am going to pick up from that. I have seen the death of my parents, grandparants and a few friends. I have seen the birth of my 2 children, grandchildren and many neices and nephews. I have lost contact with many friends from childhood. I have made more friends in the past 10 years than in the first 40. I have stopped going out on Friday or Saturday nights playing darts, dancing or playing pool. I have started a diary, completed a web design course and started my at-home business. At one time I weighed 126 pounds. I am probably healtheir now that I ever was. I eat better, take vitimains and see a doctor on a regular basis. I remember the days when I partied all night long. I went from job to job with never a fear of finding one. I now have a good job with benefits and have been there long enough to have built up a nice little retirement fund that will be there when I need it. The grass is not always greener on the other side. If you really look at the "Good old days", they had their troubles too. Someday, these days we are having today WILL be the good old days. Like I said in sunnflower's comments, "Without endings, there would be no room for beginnings nor new memories. There would be nothing fresh. It would be sad to have but one book to read over and over. Endings give us room to grow within our world, within ourselves." I still wish they would bring back Voyager though.
Later, Cosmic
