Back to Normal Im back to normal now. However normal I get anyway. This week was busy as hell. Boss Lady is away next week so she was firing orders left and right to make sure everyone is finished most everything on their desk but still has enough to keep busy until the end of next week. Yup, sure do.
On the home front, yesterday my niece IMed me and loaded her webcam to show me a shot of her 7 month belly. She asked if I had a web cam and I told her I did and said to hold on and I would install it. Crash! No more internet. I tried everything I could think of and finally threw in the towel and did a system restore. I hate doing that. I really, really hate doing that. There is someone coming to look at the house tomorrow. A potential buyer. We are so screwed. We pay about $200.00 to $300.00 a month less than the going rate for a two bedroom. We have for 7 years. We are now going to have to really tighten our belts if this place sells. We have our name in public elderly/handicapped housing and are number one on the list for a handicapped unit in two locations. The problem is that one is where I work and we only have 5 units and the people currently living there are not looking to move anytime soon. The other place has only two. So I am living day-to-day waiting for the shoe to drop. I knew all this was going to happen before I went on my trip, but did a good job of not thinking about it for the entire weekend. Now it is right in my face again. Something will work out, Im sure. It always does. Its just the waiting that kills me. We did the hang-out-and-watch-movie weekend today. I re-joined Columbia DVD club again and for two of my free ones, I got Identity and Remember the Titans. Both really good movies if you havent seen them. Remember the Titans was based on a true story and starred Denzel Washington. He is one of my favorite actors. The other one, Identity was a thriller, ala Hitchcock style and had a big star cast of Ray Lolita, John Cusack, Amanda Peet, John Hawks and others. Scary but not too, too graphic. A good who-done-it right up until the end. Next week-end is Labor Day. When did we have summer? Did I miss it? Zipwang! Gone! The good news is that I am taking my last vacation day on Tuesday so I get a four day weekend. Our year ends on September 30 so I have to get it in by then. I wont be going anywhere, but I think I may spend the time packing up some stuff we dont use much and be that far ahead when we have to move. Well, I have to get moving and start dinner, I guess. You all have a great weekend.
Later, Cosmic
