Sicko at home I'm home from work today. I have been sick. Much better now, but don't want to infect anyone at work. I had a stomach bug that really nailed me around 3a.m. on Saturday. I was supposed to do the Ashaway Stroll on Saturday to sell my buttons. Didn't make it. That would have brought in a nice chuck of change and I was going to donate $1.00 per button to our local food bank, but it didn't happen. Maybe next year. I did spend a lot of time online though. I did most of my Christmas shopping online. Love that Amazon.com. I bought son, Jeff a bunch of piercing supplies for his business and a couple presents for his girlfriend, Heather. I even managed to get one for Terry, but of course I can't say what it is because he is my most faithful reader here. Sorry Honey, you'll just have to wait. I have also been shopping around online for a car. There is one advertised in the newspaper here that I am really interested in. Unfortunately, there are two problems with it. 1) I still don't have the cash in hand and 2) she is asking about $1,000 more than I want to spend. Maybe lady luck will be on my side and she will still have it when the money comes in and by that time, she will come down on the price. It's a 2001 Toyota Echo. It's a really small car and has a bunch of neat things about it. All power windows and seat, air, and even a CD player. Sounds nice, but I'm not getting my hopes up just yet. One of the local dealers just called to tell me he has a 1996 Olds Ciera for $3700.00 over 90,000 miles on it. Yup, sure he does. No thanks. This baby is going to have to last me for 5 years. I want something at least from this millenium I think. We have been watching some of the Christmas movies on TV this year. Normally I don't watch them. Not for any reason, there is just usually something else on that I would rather watch. I am looking forward to The Grinch that stole Christmas with Jim Carey later this week. I love watching him. Well, I guess I should start doing something productive. A whole day off and here I sit. I was going to trim the tree, but the poor thing looks so raggedy that we are going to get a new one. We only have room for one of those 3 footers, but it's the thought. We have to have one when the grandbabies come. It just wouldn't seem right not to. Besides, I like decorating it with a nice cup of hot chocolate to sip on. If ya have a moment, go and wish sunflowery a happy birthday, ok? Thanks Later, Cosmic
