Busy Saturday Afterall Howdy. I'm sitting here waiting for it to warm up. It is only 62 degrees right now at 12:25. Too cold to wash the car. I think I am going to use today to just lay around. It's half over anyway. I need to do something out of the house. I am getting a little stir-crazy. Maybe I can talk hubby into hitting some yard sales this weekend. Memorial day starts the yard sale frenzy in RI. It's kind of sad in a way. We wait all winter for the fun of going yard to yard, buying other peoples trash. Then we wait for the next summer to put it in our own yard sale and sell it again. My brother used to have it down to a science. He would take a little notebook with him. He would write down what he paid for EVERYTHING. If it was even a dime, he would write it down. He would use it through the summer, fall and winter and the next year, he would put it in his own yard sale with a liitle extra added to what he paid for it. This is pretty smart when you think about it. Sort of like renting it for free and getting paid to do it! He hasn't discovered e-bay yet. I hope he doesn't. He will never leave his house. I remember one year. I went to his yard sale. He was pricing his stuff and had come across a lamp that he couldn't find on his list. I stood there and watched as he went through page by page of items. Finally he just stuck a price on it. He said he must of forgotten to write it down. I told him that it might be because he didn't buy it in the first place. It just MIGHT be because I had GIVEN it to him as a gift. Oooops! Busted! In all fairness, he did offer me a good price on it. Brothers. Can't shoot them, can't divorce them. Yesterday's luncheon was fantastic. The food was amazing. I had the calf's liver with glazed onion. I felt a little guilty because I also ate the potatoes. I couldn't stop myself. They were flavored with garlic. I am a sucker for anything with garlic. I didn't stop there. They passed around the menu for dessert. I had no intention of ordering anything because I was pleasantly filled. But I swear it was Karma. I was handed the menu and what jumped right off the page? Indian Pudding! I haven't had that in 35 years or so. It was delicious. Warmed with vanilla ice cream on top. I will, once again, burn in hell. But the good news is that I drank Diet Coke! (haha, oh the ironey). For this little SOD (slipped off diet) I am not going to weigh myself until Tuesday. I hope by then I won't notice. Well hubby has decided that since I said yesterday that I was cleaning my car today, then that is what I am going to do, (Silly him) and he is now down in the garage pulling out the bucket and swa-something-or-other so I can get busy. Shoot, now I'm committed. I can't have him go to all that trouble of finding everything for me and then not do it. I can't do it tomorrow because we are on a Water Ban. If you live in an even numbered house, you can only use the hose on even numbered days and vise versa for odd numbered. I live in number 17 so if I don't do it today, it will have to wait til Monday. Well, I might as well as do it and get it over with. It should be fun actually. I will think of it a s a treasure hunt. Lord knows what I will find under the seats. I just hope it isn't alive. Later... Later, Cosmic
