Have a Good One! I think I am under a special star. Went to Bingo last night and won a $100.00 game and a $20.00 doorprize. Then today, I was given two tickets to the $14.00 buffet at Foxwoods. I told you all that I was treating Hubby to a night there at the casino in October. Well so far, I have the room for $99.00 and free dinner. Woo-hoo. Go me! ___________________________________________
Bosslady was out today and it was sooooo nice! Nobody yelling my name, Dress-down Friday, gotta love it. _______________________________________
I finally found something wrong with my new (to me)car. I finally got around to trying out the radio. It gets every station for a radius of 100 miles. I have back seat speakers that would bust my windows out if I cranked it. The problem??? I am now too old to appreciate it!! I would have KILLED to have had a stereo like that in my car when I was in my 20's. I would have at least maimed to have a stereo like that in my 30's. I would have enjoyed having a stereo like that in my early 40's. Now on the eve of my 50's I find myself just turning it on and immediately turning it DOWN The good news is that in another 20 years if I still have it, I will appreciate it again at full crank! ________________________________________________
It is now Friday night at 10:30 and I have had the best week I have had in ages. This, of course, is including last weekend in this week. I think I have been charmed in the past 7 days. Or blessed, whichever you prefer. At this moment in time, everything is right within my own personal world. I have said this before, but I say it again because I don't get to say it everyday. My kids and grandkids are safe and content, Hubby and I are comfy and happy. I am facing another surgery, but it's ok. Thank you Lord. Ok, I just had to say that. I am a firm believer in God and I think if you believe in Him, You should publicly thank Him once in a while. If that bothers you, deal with it. __________________________________________ I am going to do something tomorrow that I haven't dared to do in quite awhile. I am going to WASH MY CAR. It will be the first time in ages that I won't be afraid it will fall apart! Then I am going back to the second hand store and see what I can scoff up and sell on E-bay. I am really getting into this. I am thinking of changing my name to Second-hand-Rose. Whatcha think? Just kidding. Cosmicrayola is who I am and who I be. ____________________________________________
Does anyone have plans for September 11? Here in Westerly, RI the town council has a program planned that I think is wonderful. We are closing the office to attend. At 8:00 AM there is going to be a tribute given at the front stairs of the Town Hall. Then at approximately 8:35 in memoriam, 1,000 butterflies are being let loose, after which, songs will be sung by all in attendance. I am not sure of the songs, but I imagine they will be a combination of hymns and patriotic songs. I am so looking forward to this. I am one of the ones that is still bothered by this act of cowardice and still feel the need to sing, pray and yell my indignation to a power that survives only by the bloodshed of others. I am not a political person, but I am a proud patriot. America has its problems, but I still cant imagine waking up in any other country. This is not to belittle any other nation, only to proclaim my allegiance to my own. ________________________________ So, in parting, (yes I am parting to the great upstairs bedroom) I wish you all a great week-end!! Later
Later, Cosmic
