Housework is Evil.

Busy day today. (Must stop watching TV)

Cleaning this house would only take about 3 hours if I did it every day. But after doing that for 20 years, I came to realize that housecleaning just isn't all that important.

If I forget to go to the grocery store, we go hungry. Not acceptable.

If I don't bother to do laundery, I have no clean underwear. Not acceptable.

If I forget to take my meds, I will not be healthy. Once again, not acceptable.

BUT!

If I don't do housework for 2 - 7 days, guess what? It waits for me!

The dust bunnies multiply and there are more to greet me. We have long conversations, we do.

The vacuum gets a much needed workout and I save on bags.

I save money on cleaning supplies.

I get to enjoy myself.

It looks so much better when you clean a messy dusty house. If you clean every day, you miss out on the satisfaction of seeing the big difference. You miss the proud feeling when a friend comes in and says "Wow, you've been busy!"

If you don't disturb the dust for days at a time, you do your lungs a favor. Dusting gets all that suff up in the air and you breath it!!

See? Overall, cleaning once a week or so is so much better.

I am starting my Atkins (Yes, really this time) Tomorrow. katress thinks she may have the new diet diary site up today. If not, I am starting tomorrow anyway. I want to look svelt this summer. Well, as svelt as a boobless granmother can look. Hey, I'm not 50 till June. 50 years ago I was tiny. I want to be tiny again. Well, not that tiny, but you get the idea.

Yesterday was gorgeous weather-wise. We had all the doors open. It reached 62. It is now 9am and it's 50 so far. I hope to open the doors by noon. I love fresh air! Especially after being closed up for the past 5 months.

I hit a second hand shop yesterday. I picked up this wooden canaster set. The lady had $12.00 on it. I knoticed one seam on the Flour container was cracked. She said she would drop the price to $2.00. As I was putting it on the counter, I noticed that two of the others had little splits on the seams. She wouldn't take any money for it! Free, baby! Free! I dare anyone to do better than that! I am such a good shopper.

Later...

Later,
Cosmic
