An Open Letter to the Protesters
An Open Letter to The Protesters By Cosmicrayola
You say we shouldnt fight this war
We have no business there
You say isnt for us to go
It isnt our affair.
If you were walking down the street
And just happened to come upon
A man with his fists beating on a child
Would you simply just walk on?
If you saw a young girl in an alley
And knew she were being raped.
Would you simply figure its up to her
To manage her own escape?
And what if it were your child
Who was killed as others stood bye?
Would you be so quick to tell them
Its ok, I forgive you, as you cry?
Its easy to turn the other cheek
When it is happening in a far off land
To attend your socials and live your life
With you head stuck safe in the sand
We neednt feel any guilt here
If we just up and walk out on others
But remember this if nothing else
They are all our sisters and brothers
It doesnt matter where they live
Religion aside, this goes deeper
For I believe with my whole heart
We ARE our brothers keeper.
If you really want to protest something worthwhile, Protest against the inhumane treatment of those people who live there. Isnt it ironic that so many people will jump on a bandwagon to save the whales or save the seals but cant understand why we are trying to save these people.
God Bless our troops, and the civilians
Later, Cosmic
