Just a Kick-back Sunday Howdy All quiet on the home front today. Just chillin and watching tv. Spent yesterday cleaning the basement. Not much thrill there. But I needed the downtime. It is good to just hang out today. I did invest about 5 hours trying to fix sister Carol's computer, but couldn't. She even bought me a lobster for my time. It took about 4 minutes to eat it. Wha't wrong with this picture?
So what's up with this hurricane? I just read the latest info from Reuters and it said it could be horrific. The track it is on puts it somewhere to the easter side of Virginia. I just hope it fizzles before it gets there. I remember driving through the south after Hurricane Andrew. It was heartbreaking. I have never seen so much destruction in my life before or since. Of course, we know from past experience that hurricanes do fizzle. We also know that the projected path can be way off. I have family in Maine, I'm in Rhode Island, a brother in New Jersey, friends in NY and I have friends in Virginia, Mississippi and Florida. It has to fizzle. That's all there is to it. We can hope.
It is beautiful here today. We expected rain, but it has turned out wonderful and sunny. Well, I have to hit the store before dinner and sitting here isn't getting me there. I hope to be getting back to more substancial entries soon. Bear with me. Later... Later,
