T�was the night before surgery
and all through the house.
No computer in use,
not even a mouse.The cupboards all stocked
with a week�s worth of stuff
Milk and bread tallied,
to make sure there�s enough.
The house was all cleaned,
everything put away
For it won�t happen again
till two weeks from today.
My TDI forms are made out,
now I can relax
They�re safely at work,
for Charlene to FAX
At least I get paid
while I�m home resting up.
Keep bill collectors happy
so I don�t go bankrupt.
Terry in his bed
and me, I�m in mine
We just settled down
to watch Miami CSI
When what thought�s do I have
going on in my head?
Is it fear of my surgery?
Of waking up dead?
No, not something morbid
or horrid like that.
It�s that I can�t get on my computer
laying like that.
How long will it be
till I can get back online?
How long must I have to
just lay and recline?
Will it be one day or two?
Oh No!Not a week!
That would be torture
for this old computer geek!
So tonight I say a prayer,
that I will soon post again.
Please let me heal quickly, Lord.
