Busy, busy week-end This weekend was a trip. Saturday, at one point, there was Me, Terry, Sharon, Rebecca, Peter, Stella, b/f Jeff, Son Jeff, and g/f Heather. 9 of us in a 17 x 14 living room. My ears still hurt. Then *poof* just like that, Sunday night comes and it is just Terry, me and Shaon. Talk about feast or famine. Jeff and Heather never got here until midnight Friday night. I was half asleep by the time they got here. Terry and Becky had gone up to bed and Sharon and I waited up. They visited until 1 and then went to brother Pete's for the night. They returned around 11 the next morning. Then Sister Stella and b/f showed up, then Pete. By 4, Stlla and b/f had left and Pete stayed until 10 and left. I finally had some time to get to know my son's girlfriend. She is a keeper. She laughed at my jokes. Good move on her part. I told her all of the embarassing stories about Jeff that I could remember. She had a few of her own. We started tossing one-liners back and forth. Poor Jeff was trying to get out a story about something. At one point he threw up his hands and said,
"I give up. Every time I try to tell you guys something, one of you comes out with another joke." I just smiled and said, "Leave us alone. We're bonding." She is smart, witty and she obviousley loves my son. And I think she liked me. Yup, she's a keeper, this one. They got ready to leave yesterday and they were going over to Sterling, CT to visit Lori and the girls, so they took Rebecca with them. She went to an American school today with her American cousine Brittni. Now that is what I call interesting. A very light skinned blonde blue-eyed Becky with that heavty British accent and her Bi-racial, curly brown haired, brown-eyed, American cousin. Does anyone remember the Patty Duke show? They have nothing on these kids! It was kind of weird going to work today. I wanted to stay home and enjoy them some more, but it wasn't in the cards. Terry left at 3 with Sharon to go and pick up Becky and to give Sharon and Lori a chance to visit. They won't be home until aroun 6 so the quiet here is really noticable. Well, I have to get a roast chicken in the oven to be ready for 7:00 so I will stop the chatter for now. Hope your Monday was a good one. Later... Later,
