Flowers, flowers everywhere First, a silly little story. I went shopping last Sunday. I needed all sorts of fruits and veggies. (oh, how much am I beginning to hate thee fruits and veggies? Let me count the ways) and some other things. I had picked up three or four things in the produce section and was just about ready to turn down the aisle to go to the deli, when I noticed a bunch of cherry tomatoes all over the floor. There had to be 10 or 12 of them rolled out in front of me. The ones to the side of me were all squished and looked like an accident ready to happen. I proceeded to the deli to tell someone so they could clean it up before someone broke their neck. To get to the deli was a straight shot of about 30 feet. I told the clerk and he immediately came from behind the deli case with broom and dustpan and walked past me. I followed him back to show him the mess, when something made me turn and look back toward the deli case again. All over the floor were more squished tomatoes. I just shook my head in wonder at the idiot that would have not only created the mess, but then just walked off and left it. All of a sudden a little light went off in my head. I walked around the front of my cart and looked down into it. There, lying on it's side, was an almost empty container of cherry tomatoes. I sheepishly righted the container, picked it up and put it on the shelf. I grabbed a full one and hightailed it out of there. Well, at least I reported it. We have some beautiful flower beds around the property where I work. They are all planted, weeded and maintained by two of our residents. One man and one woman do all the work. I leave you now with some of the wonders of our lawn. * * * * * * My personal favorite picture of all of them: And our illustrious Elaine, the Garden Goddess
