Monday Breeze! What a beautiful day it was today. Sunny, not so humid and an actual breeze. I am sitting here with my A/C off!! The next few days are supposed be be great too. It feels good not be sticky. The road work is still going on outside our windows, so I won't be able to open the windows tonight, but I'm not complaining. The part outside our house should be don within the next 24 hours and it will be great. No more potholes for another couple of years. Well, that's moot anyway since we won't be here, but it's still good for those that will. I read today that Charmed will be renewed for another season. That makes a very happy me. I love that show. I indulged at the grocery store last week. I bought a pound of uncooked shrimp on sale. But wait! Did I stop there? Nay. Nay, I say. I also bought a can of Cape Cod Lobster Bisque! Oh. My. God! Food Gasms, folks. Food Gasms!! Terry had his shrimp with cocktail sauce, while I, the rich food fanatic that I am, had mine hot with drawn butter. The Lobster bisque is $4.00 a can and the shrimp was $7.00. Hey, we don't go out to eat so I figure $11.00 for two isn't bad and I didn't even have to tip! Cool beans.
A fire fighter is working on the engine outside the station when he notices a little girl next door in a little red wagon with little ladders hung off the sides and a garden hose tightly coiled in the middle.
The little girl is wearing a fire fighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat. The fire fighter walked over to take a closer look.
"That sure is a nice fire truck," the fire fighter says with admiration.
"Thanks" the little girl says.
The fire-fighter looks a little closer and notices the girl has tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's testicles.
"Little Partner", the fire fighter says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope to the cat's collar too, I think you could go faster."
The little girl replies thoughtfully...
"You're probably right, but then I wouldn't have a siren.
