Ok, The picture is gone. I couldn't take it anymore. I apologize to anyone who was caused any nausea, vomiting or extreme giggles.
I got all my supplies for my canopy yesterday. Hope to have it up by the week-end. I ended up picking up:
26 feet of 1/2 cold water line (PVC)
4 elbow joints
One roll - 25 guage Transparent wire
6 small hooks 1/4"
6 medium hooks 1/2"
Already got in the mail on Monday, 6 ivory valances with scarves.
Haha, my recipie for canopies. I don't think I will be serving this at the next cocktail party, though. Hehehe, I kill me!
Hubby got his tests back. He has severe acid reflux. No shit! I could have told you that without all the tests. They have now introduced another medication into his diet. SO he is taking 2 different pills 4 times a day. I think it is all the hydrocodone he has taken for the past 2 1/2 years. That would mess with anybody's stomach. But that is soon to end too. He goes into the hospital on the 21st, (Friday) and has the implant. It is a thin wire that goes up along his spine with a remote control that stimulates the nerve in his stump and cuts off the pain sensor. Please pray for him that it works. I really think once he gets off all the pain meds and stops suffering the pain itself, the stomach will return to normal. We can hope anyway.
He will go into the hospital on Friday and come home Saturday. They told him it is a very simple operation as far as risk goes. I still hate the idea. I haven't told him that, but it scares the hell out of me.
The upside of all this is that if it works like it is supposed to, he will be able to get back to rehab with his prothetics and this time next year, he could be walking! This is the end result we have been waiting for. We have been hoping for this now for a 2 1/2 years! He hasn't accepted defeat yet and knowing him, he will walk again. For a 63 year old man, he has the drive and determination of a 30 year old. See why I love him so much?
Well, I'm off to work. Will catch you all later. Have a great day! Or in the case of nzforestguy, have a great night!
