The day after Thanksgiving Thanksgiving was perfect! (almost) Everybody I was expecting showed up. clangski her and her hubby came over the night before and I baked the ham. I made a delicious (If I do say so myself) glaze for it. We all played Trivial Pursuit until 11:00. She had brought clamcakes with her so Terry deepfried them with some french-fries for a snack while we played. We had a good time.
The next morning %%clangski showed up at 10:00 and kept me company in the kitchen. Her hubby, Bob hadgone to the football came. She stuffed the celery with the plain cream cheese for Lori. I did the cream cheese and olive for the rest of us. Clangski and I had made a deal the night before. I would cook and she would clean up. I loved it. I sat on my butt while she did all the dishes and put everything away.
The bad news was that my brother Pete ate something Wednesday night and ended up with, what we think was food poisoning. This is a man that stands 6 foot and is as thin as a beanpole but can put away 5 cheesburgers in one sitting. For him to sit and sip soda all day was surreal. He attempted to eat some veggies, but couldn't even do that. He wouldn't go to the hospital and no amount of pleading would change his mind. At least he spent the day and by the time he left, he had a little more color.
On a brighter note, I got a some pictures. I had a ball playing with them yesterday. Since Lori moved away, I only see them about every two or three months. They grow so quickly. This afternoon Terry and I are once again going to try to venture out to the casino. Wish us luck. It isn't snowing, it isn't raining and this time we just might make it. Later...
