A Promise Made is a Promise Kept When Golfwidow won Everday Hogwash I submitted an entry. At that time, I wrote the following in her comments:
I posted this comment in my diary after you posted.
"Tell you what, If I win the daily I'll keep the money and then if I win the weekly, and you don't, I'll split the weekly with you. But if you win the weekly and I win the weekly and then I win the grand prize, I'll split that with you. And you have it in writing!! Hell, I wouldn't have even known about it if you hadn't told me. Ya, and "if" I'd get off my ass and finish my novel, I a) wouldn't have time for these contests and b) might not need the money anyway.
Posted by cosmicrayola at January 21, 2006 08:53 AM I said that about my FIRST entry to the contest. It didnt win. So Thats that, right? New entry submitted, all bets are off, right? Right? Can I get a RIGHT!!! Just kidding. Im still honoring it if I should win. Oh, wait a minute I DID WIN!!!!! IM SO HAPPY I COULD PEE! Of course its just the first round and if this is it, I am still deliriously happy. I dont expect to win the weekly. I am not fooling myself. I am not a strong writer and I dont have that many people that even know that I exist. But I am totally happy with the $200.00!!!!! Of course, (I think the voting starts on Wednesday, Ill have to keep you posted) please dont let that stop you from: 1. Voting for me 2. Telling all your friends to vote for me 3. Calling up your family and having them vote for me 4. Asking your Congregation/Temple/Parish to vote for me 5. Asking your Priest/Rabbi/Minister/church organist to vote for me 6. Calling all your In-Laws and asking them to vote for me 7. Calling the local prisons and asking the inmates to vote for me or Letting all of your kids vote for me. So what, your kid is only 6 months old! What better time to introduce him to the keyboard. Have a party the night the voting starts.. Call it a Show Cosmic the Money!! party and invite 250 of your closest friends and make let them all vote! Geesh, Karen. Have you no shame? Hell no! For $1,000.00? Hell no! Ok, ok! I wont mention it again until the voting starts.
