damn snow Thanks for all the suggestions about the leg cramps. I am going to stick to flexing the legs 2 or 3 times before I go to sleep. So far it's working. If not, I will go to the quinine thing and give that a try. What the hell is up with this snow? It isn't bad enough that we got a bit yesterday, but now they are calling for a northeaster Wednesday night into Thursday! I think I can speak for all my New England buddies when I say, "Enough of this shit already!!!" The landlord came over last night to visit. We were talking about our moving into senior housing. I said how it seems a shame that we bought the new frige and stove and can't take it with us. He told us to sell them! Eeha! That means that I will be able to at least get a months rent out of them. They retail for $2400.00 for the set and we have only had them for 6 months. I am sure I can sell them for $1000.00. Well, not sure, but I will give it a hell of a try. Also, after we move out, he is going to put in all new carpeting and sell the whole house. That means at least we don't have to worry about hiring someone to shampoo them all when we leave. He is also painting throughout so that saves us painting too. I would have. I have never left an apartment in bad shape. We have been here for 7 years, so there is normal wear and tear, but basically, it is in good shape. We have painted every room here at least once since we have been here except the upstairs hallway. Never did get to that. It is almost impossible. Standing on the landing, it is about 14 or 15 feet high and would take a 20 foot ladder and scaffold to reach across the stairs. Besides, back when Terry still had his legs, it didn't really need it. Now it is that dull, dingy off white from 7 years of smoking, cooking and whatnot. I do wipe it down periodically. I take the mop and tape a 6 foot pole to it. Then I tie a handtowel to the top of that. It is quite a trick actually. YOu have to put it straight up and let it fall down one side of the wall, then put it back and let it fall down the other side. Repeat this every few feet until you have gotten all the cobwebs. Granted, I didn't do it often. I tried to pass them (the cobwebs) off as the newest trendiest decoration from Pier One. Probably nobody bought that. Probably I don't really care. I'm still sticking religiousley to my Atkins. I have pretty much detoxed from all the sugar now, so I am getting into a routine. I have been using my 20 carbs for veggies. I am not going to weigh myself now until Thursday because if I haven't lost a total of at least 10 pounds, I may swich to Weight Watchers or something else. We'll see. Well, it's 7:20 and I have to pack my lunch, warm up the car (grrr) and head to work. You all have a great day unless you have other plans. Oh and I checked the hotel amount I had written down for JournalCon. I was off a tad. Sharing it with summer-gale, the two nights will only cost us a total of $125.00 each including tax. AARP, Gotta love it! Who said being 50 sucks? Later... Later, Cosmic
