Still Rockin' and-a Rollin' For those of you that know Ms Leslie, I FINALLY heard from her today. For those of you that don't, she is a wonderful lady that used to keep a diary here on Diaryland, but stopped writing a while back. She has moved on to bigger and better things. She is right on the Mississippi coast. She lost part of her roof, her fence, a storage shed and a few other things, but her brick house stayed high and dry! I am so happy to know she is ok. More good news. Ms-no-longer-in-my-new-apartment has moved out!! Lock, stock and barrel! The painter will start tomorrow and probably be done over the week-end. I have called the movers and the big lease signing day is September 23rd! But it gets better. I agreed to clean it myself, so I get the keys on Monday. That gives me a week to clean and to take all my boxes over, hang curtains and pictures before the furniture gets moved in and efore I start paying rent. I am one happy camper, yessiree Bubba!
Boss lady is away now til Monday. Works for me. She has been getting Jan and me to pick up a bunch of the slack since Charl has been out. I have no problem doing it. None at all. She has been working right along with us. It's just that I have my own system for doing things. A certain order. When she gets it in her mind to get things done, it's with a fury. At any given time this week, I had three projects going on at the same time. Each one only took an hour or so, but as soon as one was done, I had another taking it's place. No time for a breather. In between, of course, was answering the phone, taking the counter and various other sundry duties. (Hey Poola, I said sundry and you didn't. Neener neener). So that was my week so far. I still have a desk full of things to do, but the pace can be a little easier the next few days. Well, time to hit the sack. I started this entry at 7:00 but put in a movie. Movie Review Alert!!Ok, you probably have already seen it, but I hadn't. The Notebook. Excellent!!! Watch it. Trust me. But I'm a little predjudiced. I love James Garner.
