Happy Thanksgiving Happy Thanksgiving!!Yes, I�m still alive. I have been really busy, as usual. Time to just enjoy my next four days off. I have been getting ready for the Ashaway Stroll. I am selling my buttons there on the 10th. I designed a few new ones for the sale. I hope I do well. My niece is just about ready to deliver my newest great niece and her mom is all a-tither. I rember how it is. My youngest granddaughter is 5 now, but the memories are there. Sister Stella and Jeff are set to move back to Maine next weekend. It is going to be strange when she leaves. We had a pretty regular routine of going grocery shopping together. (sniff). No more. I understand perfectly why she is going. Her daughter and family are back in Maine. Her son is in Maine. It makes sense. So today we are having Stella, Jeff and my brother Pete for dinner. I cheated big time this year. The grocery store here, (Shaw�s) has a all-inclusive Thanksgiving Dinner. All Cooked for $50.00!! You get the Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, and squash. You also get cranberry sauce, rolls and an Apple pie. It says it feeds 8, but it looks more like 6 to me. We�ll see. I am making my boiled onions in white sauce and Terry is making his famous mixture of turnip and carrots. For desert, we have the apple pie and Lemon Meringue. Stella is bringing a mince meat and a pumpkin. That better be enough. There is no more. This will be the first year that we stayed home and I didn�t cook the meal myself. I guess heating up counts, though, doesn�t it? It all looks good. The proof will be in the eating. My daughter is feeding a huge bunch at her house this year. She does every year. Way too much noise and people for me. I�m getting old, I guess. We will eat here around 3. It will be pretty quiet. I�ll play music and we will yak away. Maybe a good movie. Maybe not. But it will be nice. My daughter, Lori took a new job. She is working for a major jewelry manufacturer. This would not be overly interesting to me, except that she gets, are you ready for this, 70% discount on anything the sell!! Yes folks, now I too, can look like a million bucks for a mere $300,000! Ok, being a tad more realistic, I too can now don a $500.00 necklace for a mere $35.00. I am not usually a jewelry person, but I may make an exception. I really could use a few chains. She has to travel 45 minutes each way to work so I am not sure how long her vehicle will hold up so I plan on striking while the irons hot. well, I guess I better get busy picking up the joint before company starts piling in. It is 8:30 now and Brother Pete just showed up. 8:30?? WTF???? Well, I guess my day has started. Things I�m Thankful for This YearMy husband
