Another day off! Woohoo! The major roads are cleared, (Thank you Public Works and DOT!!) but our parking lot is a disaster at work. And the sidewalks are not too pretty either. I got the call last night to just stay in be this morning. Of course, I was still up at 5
5:45. Old habits and all.
I used yesterday to the best advantage and cleaned. Today, I am doing more. I am going to have all my spring cleaning done by April at this point. Love it.
I am not sure how much snow we ended up with. I am guessing it's about 20 - 24 inches. I could be way off though since I haven't left the house since 10 o'clock yesterday. That's a lot for here, at least in the past 10 years or so. I have the 25 foot ramp to shovel and I have to shovel out my car. The drift is above the headlights on one side. I'm getting to old for this stuff. Unfortunately, I don't know any kids to hire. There are none up where I live. I told Terry he should get a plow for the front of his powered wheelchair. Give me a few hours, I'll invent one for it. That sucker can go 3 1/2 miles an hour. I bet I'll figure out something!
I got an e-mail yesterday. It seems that someone nominated me for a diaryist.net award. I know trancejen has received many of them but it's the first time I have been nominated. I was all excited. I rushed to see which one of my brilliant entries had made it into the voting and guess which one it was. C'mon, guess! It is for "Best Guest Entry"! Yup, I've been here almost 2 years and Hubby get's nominated! Go figure. It is the one where he updated for me back in October after my surgery. I am still happy. I don't get nominated for anything! I went into see who was nominated for what and ended up voting trancejen for best overall diary. I am also voting for weetabix for best entry. I am up against Weet for best guest entry and I read hers so I know she should get it. Vote for her, seriousley. She deserves it.Well hubby is coming down so I have to go make his coffee. Then I think I'll go play in the snow. Ya right.
