Sad. So very sad. He left behind a wife, twin 9 year old daughters and a 3 year old daughter. Too young, way too young.
Daylight Saving time sucks! And electric alarm clocks suck more! Why? Because I thought I reset the time last night and accidently reset the alarm to 5:30 instead of 6:30. That in itself wouldn't have been too bad, but my clock is acting kind of wonkey and it wouldn't shut off. If it had been working correctly, I would meerly have set it ahead for an hour and gone back to slepp. But no! No matter where I set the stupid button, it kept playing. My only choice was to turn down the volume and get up. Stupid Daylight savings, stupid clock. The part that really ticks me off is that last night I wasn't tired at my usual 11:00 so I stayed up and watched Law & Order - Special Victims and never went to sleep till about 12:15. That means that I, who require 7 hours to funtion as a normal human being, only got 5 hours of sleep! I sure hope nobody tries to push my buttons today.
On a good note, I think the apartment is rented. I called the landlord and told him I thought we had a winner. I give him the credit report to run today and I am assured it will not be a problem. My new *almost* neighbors are a guy who works the local market, his SO, who also works there and her 14 year old son who will work there over summer vacation. The son, who's name I don't know yet because we haven't met, is a straight "A" student who watches TV, plays video games and his favorite off time hobby is his computer. I love him like a son already. They seem very nice and I feel good that I can finally be done with it. Oh ya, and they have a cat. It is an indoor cat, so my Good Girl is bumming because she thought she would have a new friend. She'll get over it. She will just have to be content with playing with the field mice.
At least I caught up on all my diary reads this morning. Boss Lady is off today so it should be a quiet day at work. I hope so. I am not going to be moving at high speed today. At least I don't have to show the apartment tonight.
