Friday 5 As usual, I am a day late and a dollar short. Here's my contribution for FRIDAY FIVE
1. What housekeeping chore(s) do you hate doing the most?
Cleaning the TV and computer screen. I get shocked every time. It doesn't matter if I use a dry or damp cloth. Terry does it for me now. The one I hate most that I DO would probably be cleaning out the fridge. I hate washing it out. All that yuck that forms under the catsup, milk, etc.
2. Are there any that you like or don't mind doing? I don't mind most of the rest of it. I just hate taking the time to do it. The actual chores can be fun. I love cleaning out drawers, closets, ets. I usually end up taking trips down memory lane when I come across something I saved from then the kids were small, or some other trinket I have kept over the years.
3. Do you have a routine throughout the week or just clean as it's needed? Routine? What's that? something to eat? No, no routine except if Terry isn't home, I crank my CD's and get down! I get so much more done when I'm alone.
4. Do you have any odd cleaning/housekeeping quirks or rules? My biggest quirk is the beds. I have this obsession with the sheets and spread being exactly the same distance to the floor all the way around. They have to be straight! If not, I will keep at it until they are. The only rule I have is that if anyone sees anything that needs to be cleaned and it bothers them, they are to feel free to clean it themselves. This is our home. We live it it, we laugh in it, we exist in it. It is not a shrine, nor am I expecting Good Housekeeping to ever do a layout here. I don't care if it isn't up to someone elses standards. They don't pay the bills. We like it just fine the way it is.
5. What was the last thing you cleaned?
The bathroom. I have a double sink with various items in baskets and things on top. I have to remove everything once a week and clean the top, the sinks and faucets. That is a 20 minute job, so I do it Saturday mornings as soon as I get up. Later,
