Friday Five et al I am starting out this entry with the Friday Five. I have bunches to tell ya after though. FRIDAY FIVE 1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed? My last name changed a few times with marriage. How many is not important. 2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be? I always wanted to be a Kathy when I was young. I never liked the name Karen. Now that I am older, if I could change my first name, it would be Colleen. 3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?) I never realized until I was a teenager why I had the name I was given. My birth name was Karen Kay Kelley. I never put 2 and two together until I was old enough to hate it. My grandfathr on my fathers side gave me the middle name Kay. I found out after he died that he was a member of the Klu Klux Klan in northern Maine. I hated my name from then on. I only hope that since I have three beautiful bi-racial granddaughters that he is rolling over in his grave. I really dont think my mother caught on when she named me. Living in Southern Maine, there were no black families at that time. The Klan wasnt something we knew about in our area. 4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why? I never liked names that were taken from mens names like Georgette, Henrietta, or Geraldine. I always loved French names for some reason. I had a friend in grammar school named Constance, but when she said it with the French pronunciation it came out Con-`stance, like Constaunts. It sounded beautiful to me. But with my Irish, I always loved Kathleen or Colleen. 5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com / triggur.org / astroexpert accurate? How or how isn't it? No where close!
The contract was signed today!!! Yay!!! Finally! I hope to take Terry out tomorrow for a few drinks and a game or two of pool. I got all my work caught up today. Thank God! It was getting really old. DSL lines have been fixed. We will be up and running on it again soon. We dont have an actual date yet, but due to the fact we have been without if for almost 6 weeks, they are putting us at the top of the list. Sister Buella is hopefully coming up from NC for a visit in a few weeks. Before my surgery, I hope. Well, my back is breaking from this old lousey computer chair, so I am going upstairs and stretch out. Later Later, Cosmic
