Life is good again. I'm going to skip Friday Five. A day late is ok, but 2 days late is, is, well, 2 days late. Brother Dale and I went to the casino yesterday. Unfortunately, the tickets I had for the buffet had expired on the first of September, so we just gambled. We had a good time. We din't win anything, but we had fun. He had never been there so it was a blast just watching him wander around taking in all the sights. We finished off the day by going to the local bar and having a few. We were up at 6 this morning. He wanted to get an early start back to Maine. His girlfriend, Dee's birthday is today. It's about a 3 hour trip back there with no traffic.
I was talking to a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in ages last night. She did the most awesome thing ever! There is a place in Danielson, CT that will give you a one hour instruction class and then take up in a plane and let you jump! Tandem, of course. You are strapped to the diver with a harness. I want to do this so bad! The price is reasonable. Well, it is reasonable if, like me, you only want to do it once in your life. When you jump, there is another guy that jumps with you and video tapes it all the way down. Total cost with the video is $285.00. Like I said, it is reasonable for a one shot deal. I am seriousley considering it. I would really like to save up and do it with my daughter next summer. It could be her early birthday/Christmas present. I haven't mentioned this to Terry yet. I am sure to hear his opinion when he reads this. (Hi sweetie!)Hey, you only live once. Grab for the gold whenever you have the chance.
Tomorrow is Monday and we have a whole week with Bosslady on vacation. I love it! I get so much done when she isn't there. I have enough work to fill the week with no problem. My surgery is 3 weeks from Tuesday and that Monday is a holiday, so that means all of my year end reports have to be done by then. Our year-end is September 30 and I do all the utility reports. I also have to go through all my client files and make sure all my t's are crossed and all my i's are dotted. We are having an inspection from the big boys and we get points taken if anything is missing from a file. Missing points translate into less monies to run the program, so we are going through and double checking and triple checking everything. It keeps us on our toes. We have always been listed as a top performer and plan on keeping up the tradition.
Well, it's time to run some laundry and then a little later, I'm going to curl up on the couch with hubby and watch the latest movie I bought. It's the Banger Sisters. I adore Goldie Hawn in everything she has ever been in. I am sure this will be funny as hell. Then later, I am going to munch out on some chicken gizzards. Before you all start going "ewwwwwwwwwww", don't knock 'em if ya haven't tried 'em. Later... Later,
