Troubles Hi all. Been busy here since Friday. Friday night, brother Pete went to the hospital. I am not sure how to take this, but according to him, he was pushing his entertainment center across the room and felt a hard pain in his chest. Then from there, it went under his arm and up his neck. He called the police and they wanted to send an ambulance. Nope, he told them, He couldn't afford it. So they went down and took him by cruiser. He never called anyone! In his words, they told him he had suffered a very mild heart attack. He told them he wanted to go home and at 4:00a.m they said he could. They offered to call him a cab, and he said he would call from the lobby and then walked home. It's almost a mile. Danm stupid jerk! Oh, and they told him to take 2 weeks off work and he took Friday and Saturday and is going back tonight. There is no talking him out of it. And before you suggest I call his boss, I can't. They would make him take it, but he would never speak to me again so my hands are tied. I kind of watch over him and since he is almost totally deaf, I do all his appointments, scheduling etc. I can't jeopardize that. He is a grown man of 57 so he is his own boss, but it really pisses me off. I told him that he is going to sign a Durable Power of Attorney and a Medical Power of Attorney so that when he falls over, at least I will be able to carry out his wishes without anyone trying to tell me what "He would have wanted". That sounds so cold, but it is inevitable. I love him dearly but right now I could give him a swift kick in the ass.
I lost another pound. Whoop. Big Deal. It isn't going fast enough for me. 11 pounds in 20 days. Sucks. Yes, I am sticking with it.
On Monday, I am going to the downtown thrift Store and check out gowns. It seems that they are having an innaugural ball at JournalCon so I am going to check out the goods. It's a neat place, this shop. All the Misquamicut rich ladies donate all their stuff. The proceeds go to the arts. I have gotten almost brand new Gloria Vanderbuilt stretch jeans there fo $2.00. On a good day, you can have whatever fits into a bag for $2.00. Belive you me, I can stuff a paper bag! These closthes are hardley even worn. Yup, my kind of place. Hey, my middle name is Goodwill. Later... Later, Cosmic
