School Daze Well Tuesdays the Day. Grandbabies are back in school. Their mom is finished (almost) with school shopping and they are pretty much good to go. I went out yesterday and shopped for Brittni. Her birthday is 9/11 and so I got her school clothes. It gives Lori a little break. I bought her 3 outfits. Its amazing how prices jump when a girl heads into the teen years. She will be 12 and I swear, there is about a 40% price hike between girls size 8-10 and size 12-14. But Grandma is shrewd. First I went to JCPenny. They were having a huge sale of 75% almost everything. I got Terry three new pairs of St. Johns Bay shorts for $5.99 a pair. Since we bought the leather couch, he has to have cotton pants or sweat to death. Back to Pennys. They didnt have diddly for girls clothes. Not on sale, nor at regular price. If she were into womens small sizes she would have had no problem, but they suck when it comes to pre-teen stuff. So I looked at the styles, the names and the prices and headed over to TJMaxx. Love, love, love that store! I found two more pair of shorts for Terry, and for Brittni, a pair of Arizona Jeans, two pair of Dockers slacks, an Arizona Tee-shirt, A knit top and a jacket. All for $50.00!! Score!! Lori promised Brit a new hair-do for school. Brits dad is black and so she was blessed/cursed with very wiry hair and it grows very slowly. About the only way to keep it in check is with hair grease, braids or ponytails. She loves her moms long straight hair, so Lori took her and got hers straightened. Here is the before and after. ** My God, what has happened to that girl over the summer??? Who is this girl and what have they done with my baby? I have seen boys do that overnight change before, but never girls. She has gone from a little girl to a teen overnight. Complete with boobs! I want to lock her up and throw away the key until she is 30! Deja and Miya are all set for clothes too. Mom took a picture of them in some of their new clothes too. Mommy is happy, mommy is tired and mommy deserves a break. Time is passing way to quickly. Maybe if I hug them tight enough, time will stand still. I want to keep them babies forever. I guess we just cant. Their Mommy is proof of that. Speaking of babies. Please trot over to cassiopeia-s diary and give them hugs. As of 10:00, Hurricane Frances is bearing down and Im sure she can use all the good vibes she and her Mommy and Daddy can get. Later, Cosmic
