Poy for the Week Submission
This Week's Topic : The Missing Sock
My mom would ask; "It didn't just get up and walk away on it's own now did it?" My dad would claim; "The dryer ate it." You all know what I'm talking about. That one lost sock. I actually keep a bag full of odd socks with the hopes that their matching others will return one day, even though, they rarely ever do. Now here's a topic that's wide open for some fun creativity. Where's the missing sock(s)?
There is a special place in heaven. Its where all lost things go. Its a two huge warehouses full of things lost. Each person has a room in each warehouse. All things lost end up in there. In the first warehouse you have the non-material things like lost loves, lost dreams, lost innocence, lost opportunities, virginity and on some occasions, sanity. Those things are stored as memories as we grow older so that we may remember and learn form them.
In the other are the tangible things, the material things. I am looking forward to being given the key to mine. If I remember correctly it should store, so far, the following items:
632 lost socks
$589.34 in money
2, 385 pens and pencils
2 rings (ummm, nope, stolen)
4837 disposable lighters
1 Engraved Zippo lighter
1 pair eyeglasses 5 contact lenses
1 address book
1 car (never mind, that was found the next morning)
My stuffed elephant. (No, come to think of it, it wasnt lost. Little sister destroyed it.)
1 pair of panties (dont ask)
That about does it, I think. Then again, at my age I am sure to have lost a few memories along the way too.
Gee, I wonder if God allows yard sales.
The quiz - Which Fear are you? (thanks boxx9000
Abandonment - You're Kati's fear of Abandonment. You probably never feel very good unless you're around other people. The odd thing is that it's not enough to be around them. You probably have to know that you're helping them too. You often make friends with people that even the misfits consider as outcasts because you really want to help make their life better. You're the motherly type, and like to take care of people. But also, like a mother, you become very upset when your babies leave the house. When you're alone you often feel worthless and without purpose, and you almost always judge your self worth by how much you've helped others. You hate to be alone. It scares you. You're probably very trusting, because you think most people are primarily good. But often you feel like you've been used because no one wants to help you in return. Just to let you know, you probably also have Dependent Personality Disorder.
Which of Kati's Fears are You? brought to you by Quizilla Well, that was close in most areas except for the part about feeling worthless and feeling I've been used. Neither one apply. All in all, it was close though.
Later, Cosmic
