A Moral Ponderance

Lets see if I have this straight. This piece was taken from Yahoo News this morning.

Cheney Utters 'F-Word' in U.S. Senate? By Thomas Ferraro

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney blurted out the "F word" at Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont during a heated exchange on the Senate floor, congressional aides said on Thursday.

The incident occurred on Tuesday in a terse discussion between the two that touched on politics, religion and money, with Cheney finally telling Leahy to "f--- off" or "go f--- yourself," the aides said. <:P> "I think he was just having a bad day," Leahy was quoted as saying on CNN, which first reported the incident. "I was kind of shocked to hear that kind of language on the floor."

So, lets see if I have this right.

It Isnt Christian-like or proper to marry someone of the same sex. It is immoral.

But is perfectly ok for the ,VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to yell obscenities across the senate floor. Ok, it wasnt in session so it doesnt count, right?

And while we are on the subject of morality:

It Isnt Christian-like or proper to marry someone of the same sex. It is immoral.

But it is perfectly ok for the VICE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES (ala Clinton) to get BJs in the White House and still finish out his term in office.

And,

It Isnt Christian-like or proper to marry someone of the same sex. It is immoral

But moving right along, the next state over we have this guy, Peter Dribble, a selectman who resigned after being charged a serious felony charge of risk of injury to a minor and pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of wreckless endangerment, a non-sexual misdemeanor charge for French kissing and inappropriate contact with a 13 year old that started 3 years ago. But, and this is the great part, he only resigned after the town agreed to give him something like $81,000 and medical benefits for a year and a half as severance pay. And since he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge, he can run for public office again!

So this is how it goes. You have to watch out for those two gays/lesbians next door, minding their own business or they may corrupt your life, but the prudes in the government are teaching us morals.

I dont know about you, but I think something is very wrong here. Can I get a f---- you? Errrr, I mean Amen?

Later,
Cosmic
