Nearing the end of Vacation (booo) I know, it's been a while. I have been mega-busy. I went with Terry to the doctors for his procedure. They didn't do it. Nope, all paperwork and that's about it. He left there with 3 slips for the lab. He has to go every 2nd or 3rd day for a total of three trips for urine tests. Then on November 10th he goes for an ultra sound, THEN on his next appointment they schedule his camera thingy. The good news was that while we were out anyway, I asked if he wanted to go to eat. We never go anywhere together anymore. He surprised me and said yes. We went to a local downscale Italian place and had a wonderful time. I planned on cheap pizza and beer, but we splurged instead. Terry got a rack of baby back ribs and I had the shrimp scampi. We had such a nice time that we promised ourselves that we would go out to dinner at least once a month from now on. Then, we decided to switch from Veriz**on DSL to Cox high speed. We decided we were tired of all the wires so we decided before they came to hook us up, we would go buy a new wireless router and adapter. (We love it!) So I have been running to an fro. Oh, and since we have decided on upgrading that, why not upgrade the TV too? We have a 27" POS that has to be wired through the VCR because the connector for the cable bit the dust. Since we are upgrading to digital, we couldn't possibly put a brand new cable box on that old POS TV, now could we? Enter a new 37" toshiba with it's own stand. I feel like I'm at the freakin movie theater! Of course, since we are not the Rockefeller's, we naturally went to Rent-a-Center. Previously owned rent to own is the way to go, I tell ya. The plan is that if you pay the balance in 90 days it's the same as cash. Since it was previousley owned (It doesn't look it) You get a hell of a deal. This bad boy cost will end up costing us $600.00 after the whole thing is done. Not bad. I checked it out for a new one (yes I did) and we are saving about $250.00. Not too shabby.
Now the downside. The TV is so big that now I have to re-arrange the living room so hubby can see it from the couch when I am on my computer. I am on my computer a lot.
I have been doing a run through the house this week too. I have put out 5 bags of stuff that I no longer use. Just accumulated junk. The rule is, if I haven't used it in 6 months, out it goes. I like that rule. Oh, and toss into the running around stuff the shopping I had to do for Deja's 7th birthday. I'm just a movin fool this week! Well, this is the last day of my vacation and so that means back to work in 3 days. I still have 5 days worth of re-arranging and throwing out to do, so I'm going to go and get busy.
