I'm still around I know. I havent updated in awhile. The reasons are many. First, is Terrys surgery. It is today. He is armed with all your good wishes and all the love I can muster, which is a heck of a lot, I tell ya. I am cautiously optimistic. In a perfect world, he will have his surgery at 11:30 this morning, they will find the tissue is benign, patch him up and let me bring him home. This isnt a perfect world, but one can hope there are pockets of perfection sprinkled here and there.
I will post again when "WE" come home. I'll post it as a new entry so you will know when it's over.
Another reason I havent updated is that I volunteered again this year to donate time and space to the Ashaway Stroll
I have spent about 20 hours on the site. I think it came out fine. Hey, what do they want for nothing, their money back? Ashaway is the next town over from us and they put on this wonderful gala every year. Since the whole thing is done with donations, last year was the first year they had a web site. I donated part of my diary to it last year, but now that I have my own site, I am able to do it a little more justice. Check it out. Come back here and let me know what you think. Thanks. We were going out for Thanksgiving this year. Terry wanted to take me out instead of bothering with all the cooking, cleaning etc. Now we cant be sure how he will be felling in 4 short days, so I decided we would stay home. It was going to be just Terry and me. (why is it that I always want to say Terry and I? It sounds better, that's why.) I am now up to 10. Happens every year. But this year will be different. I am only cooking the turkey and creamed onions. Lori and sister Stella will be arriving in the morning armed with all the veggies and a couple of pies. I shall stuff the bird and sit on my butt while they toil away in the kitchen. I am cheating big time on the clean up too. I bought the prettiest heavy-duty plastic plates and a heavy duty disposable aluminum roaster! After dinner, all leftovers go home with Lori and Stella (As they will be bring the veggie bowls) and all refuse shall be placed into a garbage bag and Stella will take it home to her dumpster. I bought copies of Elf, Cat in the Hat and Peter Pan for holiday watching for the whole bunch and thats our entertainment. Now thats what I call an efficient holiday! This will be the first holiday in years that I am looking forward to the day instead of dreading the work. And if Terry gets tired, he can go up to bed. I think he will be much happier too. Well, time to get ready to go to the hospital. I leave you with this.
I saw this on the side of a moving van. It seems like a really good idea.
Later, Cosmic
