I have�t been posting or reading much either. I am way up to 183 on my Google reader. I am still trying to get my head around everything from the past 4 months and then I get another blow. All is not doom and gloom though. Let me get through the garbage and then I can tell you why I am thankful this day.
I went for my breathing tests and sat down with the specialist up in Providence.
It turns out that they DID try the medicine directly into my lungs while I was there the time before but it didn�t help at all. So on to plan �B�.
They gave me a breathing test. Wowsa! That in itself was a workout. The breathing test is a misnomer (I said misnomer and you didn�t, neener.) It was actually about 6 different tests they run about 3 times each. It took approximately one hour. We got lost (again) going up there and they weren�t going to be able to run the tests, which meant that the appointment with the doctor would have no point. I guess they took pity on me because they let me have it.
Well, the numbers are in. All you healthy non smokers that have taken care of yourselves run on 100% lung capacity. Well, mine runs on between 18 and 21%. Sucks to be me. But! And yes there is a but here, I may be able to basically halt the progression. It is still going to be a lot of trial and error to get me on the right meds to do this. And I will always be on oxygen, but I knew that pretty much.
The good news is that they have changed my nebulizer medicine. I was on one called xopenex that I had to take every 6 hours. The new one is Brovana and I take it every 12 hours. So I take it at 10 in the morning and 10 at night. Also, I am now on Revatio, which is another name for Viagra. Now if I can just fight the urge to pee standing up and trying to scratch my B@lls, I�ll be fine.
I Told sister Carol about the trip next year and are you ready for this? She wants to go too! That makes this almost worth thinking about. I want to go, but with her going too, I won�t feel bad if I can�t attend everything. She will be happy to stay at the motel with me and I won�t be a burden on anyone else. I can be a burden on her. It�s allowed.
The bottom line is that I asked straight out if seeing my 7 year old granddaughter get married is unrealistic. I am told no. So folks, I am not unrealistic to think that I�ll be around for at least another 13 years. Okay, so I�m tethered to an oxygen hose and have to take a handful of pills every day. So what if I can�t run a marathon and can�t work. At least I�m alive. And it looks like I will be for awhile. So back to the show. Have a great day!! Be thankful for all you have and don�t mourn those things you don�t have. Enjoy every day you have to share with your loved ones.

I frankly love bad taste and find this funny as hell. And it�s one of those things that the more times you watch it to show it to others, the more you laugh. Unless, of course, you don�t like bad taste. Remember, you�ve been warned, so don�t go into my comments and tell me how horrible it was. I will just say, �I told you so!� At least it isn�t dirty.

1. Actually hers would be one of the first. Why? As if I even have to day why. She oozes creativity. She makes you laugh and cry and just feel damn good! She makes you want to laugh at the world. She encourages all sorts of silly things.
2. Bozoette Mary encourages me. She is a wonderful Mom, wife and daughter. Her whole world isn�t perfect, I�m sure, because noboby�s is, but hers is sure close. She has a way of talking about the people in her life that makes them jump right out and you get to know them. I love her mom. I don�t know her. I�ve never met her but I love her. I have a very heavey-duty fondness for her hubby. She has me believing that he is Mr. Right personified. If he isn�t, her writing is even better than I thought because I sure believe her!
3. Golfwidow I have been one of her fans for years and years. She has a style all her own. She is one person that can get away with writing 7 or more totally unrelated things on a page and have them all tied in together by the end of the entry. Or not. But if they are not, it�s okay because it still flows. She has the ability to make you laugh when you really don�t expect to. If I had to compare her to a comedian, she would be the female counterpart of Bob Newheart.
4. pennyjar Pennyjar, oh pennyjar what can I say. You are funnier than any other diarist I have ever read all the time! What I mean by that is even when you are trying to be serious, you are still funny. Even when you are mad, you are still funny. God forbid I should ever have to visit you in the hospital, I would get thrown out. I would start laughing the minute I walk into your room. I can�t even say pennyjar without a giggle.
5. My husband. Terry not only supports my writing, he inspires me with this support and often feeds me ideas about things to write. He is my greatest inspiration, my best friend, my sidekick.
Well, that�s enough catching up for one day. Don�t eat to much today, don�t drink too much today. Count your blessings, give a hug, say thank you and love.
