Another Stupid Public Service Announcement. (Groan) Gee, look! Another freakin Public Service Announcement from Cosmic! Why doesn't she shut the hell up???? Why? Because I can't when I find something out like this. So if you don't feel you need any advice, or if you are up to your ears with my preaching to you, there is a little "X" up in the right hand corner. Feel free to use it. No, wait!!! I didn't mean that! Read this please!! It's important! I got an e-mail today. I am not going to copy the whole thing, because if you are anything like me, you have a short attention span and that sucker was l-o-n-g! Here's the poop. Go into Google. Here, I'll make it easy for you HERE When you get there, put in your own phone number with area code. If you are 8 out of 10 people, and your number is listed in the phone book, you will see your name number and ADDRESS pop up on the screen. Next to that, you will see links to mapquest and Yahoomap or some such thing. If you click on either one of them, Wha-la! A street map with your house marked by a star! Is that scarey or what?? The good news is that if you click on the telephone next to your name, it will take you to a screen that where you can remove yourself from the google phone book. Mine didn't come up, because I am not listed in the phone book, but I put in 10 people that I know that are listed and it worked with 8 of them. This is really scarey when you think of all the people that go to the clubs and the bars and give out their phone number to strangers after an evening of drinks and dancing. Please tell your friends. Please tell your kids. If you have small children, please, please please, click on the phone and get off the list! Thank you. You may resume your regularly scheduled diarys. (Disclaimer: Before anyone decides to inform me that I cannot claim this will happen to 8 out of 10 people simply because those were the odds I got by only doing one trial study, I already know that.)
