Well, here's to Monday and another beautiful day! It's 73 but the humidity hasn't hit hard yet. I made a good day out of yesterday. Brother Pete brought us some sea scallops just because he loves me and I sauted them in garlic and butter, tossed them in some breadcrumbs and baked them. I decided to get really domestic and even made home made french fries to go with them. It was yummy. Then I replanted all my house plants. They were really potbound, so that was a much needed chore. We watched TV movies and just relaxed for the afternoon. But the fun part was being an eye in the sky for sister Buella's trip to North Carolina.
She is about the same as I am when it comes to thunderstorms, so I kept on the weather channel and she would call me every now and then for a forcast. She had gotten to Harrisburg PA around 9 and I told her to stay put. There were a band of storms that she was about to drive right into just 50 miles or so south of her. She curled up and took a nap beside the gas station and I called her up at 10:30 and to tell her she had clear sailing. I called again at 6:30 this morning to find she was in Virginia, but not as far as she should have been. She could only go about 50 miles per hour because her catalytic converter bit the dust. She said they would know when she go there because everyone else would too. At least she made the trip so far safetly. She should be in Ashville around noon at that speed. She will call me at work when she gets there. Well, this was short, but it's now 7:40. Time for work.
