Wasted Sick Days. I'm sick. Yup. Sinus infection. Hate it. I was at work on Wednesday and around 11:00 I started getting an earache. I haven't had an earache since I was a kid. By 2:00, I felt horrible. My head was aching, my neck hurt, yadda, yadda.
Boss Lady told me to go home. I called the doctor yesterday for an appointment because by morning, I felt like I had been kicked in the face by a horse. I am now on Cipro and Advil cold and sinus. It contains pseudoephedrine. Pseudoephedrine is not my friend. I had a roommate back years ago that would do speed to lose weight. She said she loved the first few minutes after taking it because it made her scalp tingle. I think this stuff is speed. Except I have no desire to go days without sleep or food. She did. That's the reason she did speed. She would lose 15 pounds in a week. She was rather nuts. I wonder today if she suffers from heart trouble. It wouldn't surprise me. Anyway, I took it yesterday and my head got tingly and my top lip felt funny. But the earache is a lot better today, though still there and my face doesn't hurt so much. So here I am home again. I hate wasting sick days on being sick. I may go back to bed. Or maybe a nap later. Have a great week-end.
