Gee, I wonder what that means. I guess maybe it's because Terry beats me up in the morning and beats me upstairs at night. Oh, he beats me going the dishes and he beats me cooking brunch on Saturdays and Sunday. Damn I love that man of mine. Speaking of loving. I read the most beautiful entry this morning that I have read in ages. Check out lorster's entry today. If it doesn't start with "What a lovely evening" back up to read it. Just beautiful. It puts the mundane, everyday married life back into perspective a little. Not that mine is mundane (I know you'll read this sweetie) but sometimes you just get caught up and forget what's important. I'm almost back to normal. The sinuses are still a little sore, but I am basically ok now. I sat around yesterday except for $*(*$)#* shoveling. Actually, it could have been worse. We got about 7 inches, but it was almost weightless. I went around my car, down the ramp and did the porch and stairs with only one break. That was pretty good. Today, much has already melted and more is supposed to tomorrow. Yay. I did get to wear my new boots though. Man are they warm! Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em! Wednesday, on my way home from my one day of work, I stopped and picked up a jar of molasses. Thursday I made a batch of homemade baked beans. So last night I got the munchies and decided to surprise hubby with some goodies. I made a batch of homemade gingerbread. It is yummy! I didn't have all the ingredients, so I had to leave out the baking soda and the cloves, but it didn't hurt it a bit. Sister Stella and Jeff are maybe coming over tonight for some Trivial Pursuit so with the Cool Whip, it will be a nice snack. Terry finally broke down and ordered a new HP computer. The Gateway he inherited from me when he bought my new Dell is fine and works well, but it is slower than mine and he wanted a few more bells and whistles so he finally ordered it. When we got our little windfall, he bought me a new car, computer and totally outfitted my kitchen with new matching accessories and aside from a new printer, bought himself nothing. I'm glad he is finally treating himself. He deserves it. He got a good deal too. Without the monitor, it came in at only $399.00 after rebates. I finally used George last night to cook a couple of steaks. I love it! The timer was a nice upgrade from the old one and the on/off switch makes me feel safer using it. It also shuts off after one hour for those of us that may forget. But, of course the biggest plus is that I just unsnapped the grill parts and threw them into a sink full of soapy hot water and washed them. Wow, what a difference that makes. It has a nice home on the countertop. I will be using that a lot. When I go shopping, I plan to buy apples and grill them on it. I hear grilled apples are scrumptious. I also want to try grilled pinapple, I'll let ya know. I know mushrooms are fantastic too. Well it's time to go and get the kitchen ready for our game night. I took a break to update but I have sat here long enough. Hope you're all having a great weekend. Later, Cosmic
