The week end can't some soon enough! This is one for the books. I am laughing as I type. I got home today and my Woot order came. My "air" mouse and keyboard. I opened it and set it aside till Saturday. I fixed dinner and was just reading my buddies (wow, lots of updates tonight). The phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and didn't recognize the name. I answered and had the following conversation: Me:"Hello" Him:"Is this Cosmic Rayola?" Me: "Yes it is." Him: "This is Total Stranger. I have a package of yours. It must have come today. I think they made a mistake. Did you get any packages today?" Me: "Only the two that I was expecting." Him: "Oh. It's funny, because this is from the same company as I ordered my package from." Me: "What company is it from?" Him: "Woot. I ordered an "Air" mouse and keyboard from them." At this point, I picked up the box mine had come in and read out loud, "Hmmm. Mr. Total Stranger." I chuckled out loud and told him that if he opened the box he had, he would find the same thing. We agreed that if FedEx had to screw up a delivery, that's the best way to do it. I'm keeping his, he's keeping mine. Check, Mate. Tomorrow is Friday! Yay!!! I am so happy about that. We opened our waiting list on Monday and we have been swamped with people in and out picking up applications. And wouldn't you know, all this week Jan has been out sick. She picked a fine time to get Bronchitis! The nerve of some people! That's why I've been so busy. It's been a non-stop week. Terry and I have this little ritual we go through every night. Even if he is asleep when I go to be, he waits until I am in bed and then says, "Did you set the alarm?" I always answer, "Yes, of course I did." For some unknown reason, he didn't ask last night. For some unknown reason, I didn't set the alarm last night. I have to be at work at 8:00am. It takes me exactly 8 minutes to get to work. Terry woke me at 7:25. I was at work at 8:02. Do the math. I can't remember moving that fast in a very long while. I ran into the bathroom and wet a washcloth. I washed my face, ran it over my hair to wet it and proceeded with a PTA sans the "T" of course. I managed to pour half a cup of coffee to swallow my pills, grab a cigarette and throw on my clothes. Had to stop long enough to call Lori to arrange when she was talking my car and kiss Terry goodbye. Out the door and on my way. Thank God I was late enough to miss all the school buses but still managed to get ot work pretty much on time. Whew It's funny, because had I been 15 or 20 minutes late, it wouldn't have been a huge deal. I would have just gone in a little early tomorrow. We don't punch a clock. It's pretty much an honor system. I just hate being late. So from that point on, the rest of my day just wasn't in sync. No harm done. Tomorrow is Friday!!! Can I get a Hallelujah! I need this weekend!!
