Stuff What a difference 4 days can make. My oldest granddaughter, Brittni had her second test for tuberculosis on Wednesday. She went today to have it read. She tested positive. Now she has to have a chest x-ray and get to Providence to start on a series of medications. This is blowing my mind. She is 12. She shouldnt have to be dealing with this. She is taking it in stride. Logic tells me it could be so much worse. When I tested positive at 17, it showed that yes, I had the tuberculin virus in me, but I didnt have active TB. I am sure she is the same. Daughter Lori and all the rest of the kids tested negative, so we dont know where it came from. Sister Stella and Brittni both both positive but they both tested negative a year ago. Its a total mystery how they came into contact with it, but I would wager a bet that they both came into contact with the same person. I hope that person has gotten treatment. It would be sad to think that they could possibly die with this disease if not treated.
There is something else going on at the moment, but I cant make it public yet. No illness or anything like that, but something else I am possibly going to be facing that I am not looking forward to.
On the upside, we may be moving. It looks like within the next 3 or 4 months, we may be moving into a duplex that is not only handicapped accessible, but with a huge yard. It is only 5 minutes from where we live but its at then end of a dead-end street and surrounded by trees. Plenty of room for a picnic and a grill. We will be paying more than we are now because it is based on our income, but God forbid, I lose my job, which is a possibility, our rent will be adjusted. The big plus is that if anything were to happen to me Terry will be ok. He can live there the rest of his life. That is of course, unless he finds a good-looking young chick that takes a liking to him and wants to take care of him. Then I will have to haunt him for the rest of his natural life. In any case, this is a good thing.
I leave you with this that I stole borrowed from Poolagirl , who stole borrowed it from Art
