Time for a vacation Good Morning World. As you may notice (or not) by the time of this entry, it is 9:13. 9:13 on a Monday morning and I am not at work. Why? Because I got up this morning and thought to myself, "Self, why not take this week for vacation instead of next?" I didn't have a good answer for self, so I went to work and told boss lady, or should I say, I requested to boss lady that I have this week off. She was ok with it, so I left while the leaving was good. But before I did, we all, (boss lady, Jan, Charl and I)caught up on each others Christmas and New Years. Boss lady and Jan were off for two weeks so we had our story exchange and then I headed home. In celebration thereof, I stoped at Bess Eatin and picked up a dozen assorted doughnuts. Damn these things are good! I hopefully will use this week to get rid of the rest of the junk in the house, strip the livingroom wallpaper boarder and catch up on my schooling. Well, that's the plan anyway. ************************************************** We got another couple of inches of snow last night, but it was the best kind. I went out this morning and there was about 3 inches that I swept away. All puff. I'm glad I thought I had to go to work, because if you let it sit and it warms up a bid, it settles and becomes heavy. I shouldn't really complain. I only have the porch, four steps and the handicapped ramp to clean. The ramp is about 28 feet long and then a platform and another 6 feet. Our front door is about 4 feet off the ground so the ramp has to be that long. During icy weather, it is a job to keep it safe. It is the only way Terry can get out in an emergency, so I have to keep on top of it. But this morning was wonderful. I went out about 7:30 and is was so peaceful out there. And It struck me that when the snow is fluffy, it isn't even very cold. The thermometer read about 32, but it was dry so it didn't feel that cold. ************************************************** Well, it's time to get out of my office clothes and put on my vacation-so-I-can-wear-sweats-all-week-clothes. I hope we get more snow here this week. It feels good snuggling up on the couch for a good movie when it's nast outside. I hope for no snow in the roadiepig area. The guy needs a break. ************************************************** Chatcha on the flip-flop Later... Later, Cosmic
