Updating Harry and stuff. Happy Update. Harry's wife, Gloria recieved a letter from Harry's unit. All are well. It is their responsibility to do much of the transporting. They move the fuel, payroll, mail, and many other needed things. They are at this time putting up miles of DSL lines so that the soldiers may make some landlone calls home. That would be fantastic. The moral is fantastic. They are finally able to shower! Though definately in harm's way, they are not in the middle of it like I worried about. They still have bunkers dug for jumping into when the alarm sounds, so it is still not a walk in the park. Although I know he won't be home anytime soon, I feel a lot better. Hopefully, things will settle down before too long.
The Atkins is going well. This first week is a B***H getting all those carbs out of my system. After this past week-end and all the eating, I started out Monday Morning at 152. As of this morning I am 149! Hey, three pounds might not sound like much to you, but, trust me, it is. I know it's working because I have that sicky-sweet taste in my mouth. That's caused by the ketosis that takes place as your body gets rid of the sugar. I hope to be down to 135 by June 1st. That's 14 pounds. It's doable. Then I'll get out that camera and show off those tube tops I've been hoarding.
The rest of this week at work should be good. I am revamping and cleaning out all the files at work. It may not seem like fun to you, but I actually enjoy it. I get to throw out all kinds of stuff. I only wish I could do that at home. I have so much just it it unbelievable. Anyone need a second hand stove and refrigerator? Free for the taking. They are delivering our new ones on Friday.
The new neighbors will be moving in soon. They came by last night to grab the key to measure windows. They are coming back tonight with the rent and security. I wouldn't say apartments are at a premium around here, but the ad for this one hasn't been in the paper for a week and this past week-end I received two phone calls about it and yet another one last night. I'm glad it's over. Well it's time to get out of here and off to work. Hope everyone has a greaat hump day. If the weather is being as wonderful for you as it is here right now, get out and enjoy it.
