I Want a Potato!! Ok, so my life isn't a pinball game of here, there and everywhere. It isn't a fast action movie. It isn't even a whirlwind of activity. Ok, so it is quiet now with just the day to day goings on. I can accept that. I have not had any trauma or excitement lately. So what do I write about? Anything. Why? Because I just checked my buddy list and am sad to see 4 people that I am removing. I don't know what happened to them. Well, that's not entirely true. Trancejenn has opted out. She had her reasons and she didn't elaborate. That is her right. I am glad she gave us warning and that she is fine. I can wait and hope for her return if it happens without wondering if she is lying in a gutter somewhere. I get nervous if I don't hear from my friends, ok? Take Avidproxy. She hasn't updated in many days, but she is really busy and I understand that. I also know she is fine for anyone else that is wondering about her. She stays on my list. Supermanfan is taking a break with a return in September. I know you are reading this, so I am holding you to it. Those that are MIA and I have no idea about are: Sidanen - last update, 39 days ago Andyzero - last update, 49 days ago Jetta36 - last update 51 days ago I realize it is none of my business if someone walks away, but please at least warn me. I am not nosey, I am concerned.
Ok, so this week-end is going to bring a change. My sister Stella and her friend are moving down here. I will have exactly half of my brothers and sisters living in the same town. Well, this should be interesting. My diet is getting boring. I did find a wonderful treat today. I have seen them advertised on TV. They are called Carb Solutions. They're candy bars. The chocolate/peanut butter tastes like a Reeses peanut butter cup. Pretty good. $1.50 on sale, but they only have 3 net carbs. The other one I bought looks like a Hershey bar. I won't be eating many of them. There is a warning on those ones that says excessive consumption can lead to diarrhea. Yup, we be careful with those puppies. No carbs at all in those though. I am missing my potatoes, my pasta and most of all, my bread. Hi, my name is Karen and I am a carbohydrattic. I admit it. I could live on bread and veggies. I will get over this. Maybe. Maybe not. Well, as I started out saying, I really have nothing else to write about tonight. This week-end should prove a little more interesting.
Oh, I do have one other thing to add. I went out to buy some socks and stuff to send Harry. Do you know how hard it is to buy wool socks in May??? Extremely. I called the US Army to find out what kind to send. I didn't want to send him any that he couldn't use. Well, according to the US Army, they have to be either black or Olive drab. I thought cottun would be best to absorb sweat, but he said they should be mostly wool, as cotton tends to tighten when it gets wet. Wet socks lead to blisters. So I went to 4 stores and nothing! I finally found a good deal on e-bay. I bought him 6 pairs. I have written in every letter for him to change his socks, so I thought I had better help him out. Lord knows, a soldier with foot problems is in deep ca-ca. After buying him the socks, I went to our local Cumberland Farms, the equivilant of a 7-11 and wanted to buy him a few little bags of candy. I ended up getting 8 because they all looked so good. I hope he enjoys it. I am sure it will be a welcome change. Well, time to fix dinner, so I will close this for now. Check back with you all later... Later, Cosmic
