Friday 5 and Bingo Friday Five
1. When was the last time you cheated?
I think it was about 11 years ago. My sister, Buella and I had spent about 6 hours playing the
nintendo edition of Jeopardy. Finally, she went home and my son, Jeff came in from work. We were roommies again. He was about 21 or 22. He saw the case and challenged me to a game. I told him I would play, but he could read the questions while I did the dishes. He knew, that he would blow me away as he was of course so much smarter and I wasn't really paying attention.
We started playing and I was answering every question before he had any time to think. He was getting crazy, not having time to even answer one, let alone get it right. We played about three games before I finally fessed up that I had all the answers memorized. I had a ball, making him think that his mother was a pure genius, even if only for about an hour.
2. When was the last time you stole?
Do paperclips, pens and elastics count? OK, I'm busted. Off and on I "borrow" a pen here or there from work.
3. When was the last time you lied?
I don't recall the exact time, but if someone invites me to go somewhere and I know we are going to have bad storms, I often will make up a lie as to why I'm not going rather than face the embarrassment.
4. When was the last time you broke or vandalized another's property?
Oh, this one is bad. Years ago, about 30, Buella and I (she was always turning me to the dark side) went out for a night of drinking and partying. We didn't drive, thank God. We were walking home in the wee hours of the morning. We lived in South Portland, Maine right on the coast of Casco Bay. While walking (staggering) home, we came upon a Coast Guard Buoy in the water and before I knew it, Buella had proclaimed it to be a one-eyed cyclops monster. We pelted it with rocks, I don't know how many times until we broke the light on it and it sunk. They were very silly to put it within a stones throw of the shore.
5. When was the last time you hurt a loved one?
I honestly don't know. If I have, I'M SORRY!!!! Nobody has told me that I have since I divorced my ex-husband. That really doesn't count though. I hurt him by divorcing him but he caused lots of hurt during the marriage. Fair game.
So there you have it. Quiet around the home front lately. I went to Bingo last night and won all together, with pull tickets and games, $340.00. That was rather cool. Total profit, $300.00. Not bad for 3 hours work. We haven't heard anymore from Harry. We hope to soon. Going yardsale-ing tomorrow with Carol and Stella. Contract at work STILL isn't signed. Hope to have a more interesting entry tomorrow. Later�
